The Haringey Circle membership programme provides activities, events and 'At Home' services to help over 50s in Haringey to connect, get active, keep learning, and to stay independent.

Based around a varied social calendar developed by members and volunteers, we help local people over 50 to grow friendship groups that offer practical and emotional support, increase social connections and improve their wellbeing and self-esteem.

Haringey Circle CEO

Salary: £40,000.00 FTE (+3% pension contribution)

Working hours:  22.5 hours per week

Contract length: 12 months with potential to extend

Based: Haringey

The Circle CEO will provide the leadership, drive and stakeholder relationship building that is required to deliver our membership targets in 2022-24 and beyond. Leading a small team who manage the members services and facilitate social activities the CEO will manage the promotion and development of Haringey Circle’s membership base and facilitate a wide range of inclusive social activities for older people (50+) and those with Learning Disabilities (18+) to reduce social isolation and loneliness.

The role

To manage the promotion and development of Haringey Circle’s membership base and facilitate a wide range of inclusive social activities for older people (50+) and those with Learning Disabilities (18+) to reduce social isolation and loneliness.

To ensure the effective delivery of the ‘At Home’ services for those members who need support to remain independent in their own home. Manage the Circle team and comply with the reporting requirements of the Haringey Community Navigator Grant Programme, Haringey Reach and Connect and any other grant programmes. Provide regular reports to the Haringey Circle Board to enable board members to fulfil their governance responsibilities. Work with the Board to review the business model considering future developments and challenges.

Home Help - Domestic and Cleaning Staff

We're recruiting staff who:

  • Can provide cleaning and domestic tasks to a high standard.
  • Can build trusting, caring relationships with local people over 50.
  • Live in Haringey.

Haringey Circle is a member led service for local people over 50. We help to increase social connections and improve wellbeing and self-esteem. As part of our membership programme we also offer a Home Help domestic and cleaning service which we are currently recruiting staff to deliver.

We can offer you:

Self-employed Gardeners and Handy-People

We're looking for self-employed people to deliver gardening and/or DIY/maintenance tasks to Haringey Circle members, including:

  • Hedge trimming, mowing, planting, fence repair etc.
  • Painting and decorating, lock fitting, furniture assembly, guttering repair/cleaning, and window cleaning etc.

Use your skills to help your community and meet local people whilst earning an hourly or daily rate.
