- Meeting Point: Park View Café outside the Manor House Tube Station (Piccadilly Line), Manor House Station, Green Lanes, Finsbury Park, London N4 1BZ.
- Transport Links: Buses 341 / 141 / 29 / 253 / 254 / 259
From Manor House Station, we’ll walk approximately 20 minutes to a lovely café, then we will continue the walk to the wetlands and make our way back, where we want to encourage members to stay along for a chat and a drink!
The walk lasts approximately an hour, with most of the terrain being paved, plain and easy-going, which makes it suitable for a wide range of fitness levels. Additionally, the café has toilet facilities, seating areas, and even opportunities for a little bird watching.
The forecast for Sunday is promising, with partly cloudy skies and temperatures reaching around 18°C. It's expected to be dry, making it ideal for a comfortable walk.
What to Wear & Bring:
- Comfortable walking shoes (trainers or anything suited for park paths)
- Light layers to adjust to the mild temperatures
- A small bottle of water
- Binoculars if you're into bird watching!
Accessibility Notes:
- The main route is mostly flat and paved, making it accessible for those with limited mobility.
- There are multiple resting spots along the way, especially on the east river route.
- No dogs or bikes allowed in the wetlands area, but there are bike stands available outside.
Not dog-friendly: please note that Woodberry Wetlands is not dog-friendly. To protect the wildlife in this designated nature reserve, dogs are not permitted on site, including those on leads. The only exception is for registered assistance dogs.
Note: to help our walk leaders plan ahead and ensure a smooth experience for everyone, please make sure to sign up in advance. Knowing who’s coming helps us tailor the walk, maintain safety, and offer a warm welcome to all.
